Nuisances
The ancient law of nuisance addresses disharmonious or noxious uses of land which impact surrounding properties. Nuisances can include code violations which the city will not prosecute, odors, noises, blight, violations of restrictive covenants, and similar disputes. These are often addressed by an action for an injunction in the circuit court, which may then be appealed to appellate courts. Having an experienced litigator in your corner is critical to the success of these actions.
