Kelli Hanley Crabb is a shareholder in the law firm of Weber, Crabb and Wein, P.A.

A South Dakota native, Ms. Crabb graduated from law school at the University of South Dakota in 1981 and was licensed to practice law in the state of South Dakota that year. Ms. Crabb was also awarded a Masters of Business Administration degree at the same time.

Upon graduation from law school, Ms. Crabb joined the legal department of Fortune 100 company, IBP, Inc., headquartered in Dakota City, Nebraska. While a member of the IBP legal department, Ms. Crabb primarily practiced in the areas of employment law, debtor-creditor matters, and general business litigation. Ms. Crabb left her employment with IBP in the fall of 1983 when she re-located to Florida.

Ms. Crabb joined the law firm of Battaglia, Ross, Dicus and Wein, P.A. in January, 1984 as a law clerk. Ms. Crabb became an associate attorney at the Battaglia, Ross firm when she was admitted to the Florida Bar in July, 1984.

During her association with the Battaglia, Ross firm, Ms. Crabb practiced in numerous areas of business litigation, including representation of both debtors and creditors in bankruptcy proceedings and collection, foreclosure and collection litigation, employment law and contract disputes. Ms. Crabb also has represented several “white collar” criminal defendants.

Ms. Crabb has focused her practice on family law matters, including dissolution, paternity, custody, step-parent adoption, etc. for over twenty years. Ms. Crabb is a member of the St. Petersburg Bar Association and is co-chair of the Family Law Section. Ms. Crabb has accepted pro bono cases through the Community Law Program and has participated in their clinics. Currently, Ms. Crabb devotes much of her pro bono practice to acting as a guardian ad litem for children in dependency proceedings and/or in contentious dissolution or paternity matters. Ms. Crabb is a member of the Kanakaris Inns of Court (family law) and has been co-chair of a pupilage group.

Likewise, Ms. Crabb has been very active in the St. Petersburg community as a whole. She currently is a member and chairperson of the board of Suncoast Caring Communities, Inc. and Suncoast Hospice, Inc. where she has served on several active committees. Ms. Crabb is also a member of the board of Suncoast PACE, Inc. Ms. Crabb previously was a member of the board and former chair of The Hospice Foundation of the Florida Suncoast, Inc.

Ms. Crabb is a past member of the St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce and previously chaired the Tyrone Task Force. She also is a past board member of Alpha, a New Beginning, Inc. She previously served on the IRB for St. Anthony’s Hospital and was a long-time volunteer in the pastoral care department at St. Anthony’s. Ms. Crabb is a member of Holy Family Catholic Church were she currently is a reader and was previously president of the pastoral council.

Ms. Crabb and her husband, Roger, live in St. Petersburg, Florida. They have two grown children—a son, Andrew, who is a certified public accountant in Boston, Massachusetts and a daughter, Alexandra, who is a medical student at the University of Florida.

Stephen J. Wein is a founding shareholder of the firm.  He was previously the Chairman of the Litigation Department of a prominent local firm where he was also a member of its Executive Committee. He is a 1976 graduate of Stetson University College of Law.

Steve’s extensive litigation experience is diverse, ranging from Complex Commercial to White Collar Criminal matters on behalf of and against public and private companies, financial institutions, insurance companies and professionals. The representations have dealt with a wide gamut of legal issues involving securities, antitrust, class actions, computers and software, intellectual property, healthcare fraud and reimbursement and sex and age discrimination. Additionally, he has handled corporate governance, partnership, professional liability and director and officer liability matters, as well as trust, probate and real estate litigation and commercial transactions. Steve has represented clients in arbitration and administrative disputes, as well as in trial and appellate courts throughout the United States.

Mr. Wein has received a 5.0/5.0 Peer AV® PreeminentTM  rating by Martindale-Hubbell Legal Directory for a number of years and has been selected by Woodward and White Publication’s “Best Lawyers in America” in the area of Commercial Litigation since 2007.  At various times he has been selected for inclusion to Super Lawyers in Business Litigation. He is also a certified mediator.

Steve is involved with developing legal strategies, as well as working “hands on” on his client’s cases.  His ability to analyze a problem, determine the legal options and develop a cohesive litigation strategy for the client and his or her business has resulted in successful resolutions of difficult cases.

He has enjoyed success in cases involving patent infringement, trademark, trade dress, trade secret and copyright violations and other intellectual property matters.

Steve is past Chairman of the St. Petersburg Bar Association Bench and Bar Committee, a past member of the Code and Rules of Evidence Committee of The Florida Bar and a member of various local, state and national legal organizations. He has lectured on assorted legal topics to various legal and professional groups, including the National Association of Bank Servicers and is listed in “Who’s Who in American Law.” His 1992 Florida Bar Journal article, Failed Financial Institutions: The Plight of Professionals Defending Regulators’ Claims, was a finalist for the Barbara Sanders Memorial Award for legal writing.

Steve is also active in the community having served as President of the Jewish Federation of Pinellas County, President of the Pinellas County Jewish Day School and President of the Cardozo Society, as well as an officer and director of other community organizations, such as the Menorah Manor Nursing Home, where he was a Past Chairman.  For a number of years he has taught Talmud to adults, as well as a semester long class to elementary school students, as was honored in 2011 with Yitzhak Rabin Memorial Award for Educator of Excellence.

Joseph Kenny is an Associate with the firm practicing in the areas of general Civil and Commercial Litigation. Joseph has handled numerous complex business litigation matters in both federal and state court ranging from contract disputes and corporate governance disputes to unfair competition, litigation over trade secrets and business torts. In addition, Joseph has represented plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of patent and trademark litigation matters. Joseph has also represented plaintiffs and defendants employment related matters including wage and hour disputes, employment contracts, and severance claims.

Joseph graduated Magna Cum Laude from Stetson University College of Law receiving the Victor O. Wehle Award for excellence in trial advocacy, and the Suzanne Armstrong Award for excellence in legal writing.

While attending law school, Joseph was a member of the Stetson Law Review and competed on the Stetson Moot Court board. In addition, Joseph served as a Teaching Fellow for the research and writing department.

Before attending law school, Joseph earned his B.A. and M.B.A. at the University of South Florida and worked as the Director of Strategic Development at a commercial equipment financing firm based in Tampa.

Amanda Felten is an Associate with the firm practicing general Commercial and Civil Litigation and Appellate Practice.

A native of Florida, Amanda attended Florida State University where she received her bachelor’s degree in International Affairs and Political Science. After completing her undergraduate degree, Amanda earned her Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law, where she served as a member of the Moot Court Board and class representative to the Student Bar Association. As a member of the Moot Court Board, Amanda competed for Stetson in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court held in Vienna, Austria and the National Criminal Procedure Tournament held at the University of San Diego School Of Law. While participating in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court competition, Amanda’s team appellate brief ranked 3rd out of over 250 teams competing from around the world. Also while in law school, Amanda served as Research Assistant to Professor Joseph Morrissey.

Amanda is a member of the Florida Bar and the St. Petersburg Bar Association. She is also active in several professional organizations including the Barney Masterson Inn of Court, Pinellas County Chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers and St. Petersburg Bar Young Lawyers Division. Amanda is currently serving as President of the Pinellas County Trial Lawyers Association.

Amanda is a philanthropy volunteer participating in events throughout the year that benefit The Society of St. Vincent de Paul Center of Hope and Habitat for Humanity.

In her free time, Amanda enjoys traveling and cheering on the Tampa Bay Rays, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Florida State Seminoles. Amanda is one of five siblings including her brother Thomas and sister Jennifer who are currently serving in the United States Marine Corp.

Paul Crochet is an Associate with the firm, practicing general Commercial and Civil Litigation and Appellate Practice.

Paul attended the University of Central Florida where he received his bachelor’s degree in Accounting. After completing his undergraduate degree, Paul earned his Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law, where he served as a member to the Moot Court Board. Paul won numerous awards while serving on the Moot Court Board, including winning the National Workers’ Compensation Moot Court Competition. Additionally, Paul represented Stetson in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Competition held in Vienna, and also in the “East” competition which is held in Hong Kong. Paul is one of the only Stetson students to win Best Oralist awards in both Vienna and Hong Kong. While in law school, Paul also served as a Research Assistant to Associate Dean of Academic Affairs Michael Allen and was also a Teaching Assistant for Professor Marco Jimenez.

Paul is a member of The Florida Bar and the St. Petersburg Bar Association. He is also active in the Barney Masterson Inn of Court, Pinellas County Trial Lawyers Association, and the St. Petersburg Bar Young Lawyers Division.
